I have retired this year, but only for one day and then back to same role within the NHS. So with part of my lump sum i decided to get a 3d printer and and a new laptop. Needless to say my vast IT skills (NOT) i am still trying to get to grips with my laptop. So no Idea how this post will work out. For the first time i am trying a new scale of 10mm for this Challenge and have a number of armies ready paint and base.
For my first post for this years challenge i present a small diorama using Pendraken 10mm Christmas figures. Lets hope father Christmas will get to Curt's with presents before the challenge ends.

Welcome back to the Challenge, Ian!
Retired for a day? That hardly seems fair, I hope the payout was worth it (and I'm sure it was). Well, when you do finally hang up your spurs, you will have a new laptop and 3D printer to show for it.
10mm Christmas dioramas? How neat is that?! I especially like the winter shrubs and gorse lining his frozen path to my house. Knowing how good I've been this year, that sack of treats he's carrying will be at 1:1 scale... No matter, I'll still offer him and his mates a thimble of rum and eggnog for their efforts! Lovely work Ian and Merry Christmas!

A festive first entry, nice! And congratulations on your 'retirement'.

ReplyDeleteI had no idea they sold this set. I'll have to look for next year. Nice work on those tiny models. I like the diorama you built.

Excellent Xmas addition. Well done and fun.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Ian! That is certainly a fabulous little diorama! Besides the tiny brush work, the basework is outstanding especially for the scale you worked!
ReplyDeleteLove that diorama. I hope the NHS made unretiring worthwhile. Enjoy your new techno toys
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of fun packed into such a tiny diorama mate!
ReplyDeleteThe oblong base to give a linear scene is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say welcome to the retired club, but you went back ! Great start to the Challenge 👍
ReplyDeleteA very fitting first post indeed!
ReplyDeleteSome more Christmas figures. Nice work on Leon's figures!
