From GavinB: Wrapping up the AHPC 16
I can not believe that the challenge is already over. unfortunately I hate that I had lost my painting mojo during these few months, and I really wish I could have painted a LOT more, but I guess life gets in the way sometimes. It was still great to see what everyone else was up too and I really hope I can find my mojo by December, when I'm in high school. So I can sign up for this wonderful challenge again!

Paint what you enjoy when you can. Even a figure or two a week will improve your skills and work towards your goals.
ReplyDeleteIt happens to all of us, and what you did do was very good, Gavin! Quality has a quantity of its own, as someone once said. Or was it the other way around?.Anyway, well done and see you in December!

ReplyDeleteIt’s a hobby it’s fun , do it for enjoyment . From experience it will wad and wane , just go with the flow . Next year will be epic I am sure
ReplyDeleteGavin a hobby is for fun - so if it is not giving you fun give it a break - it’ll come back. Wonderful to see your work and to have had you as part of the Challenge.
ReplyDeleteWell done Gavin, painting really should be a relaxing time and not a chore but that problem often comes as a result of setting targets. Your mojo will come back I'm sure and when itb does have some music or an audiobook in the background and before you know it the miniatures will be coming off the table at a rate of knots. ReplyDeleteGavin I left the hobby for two decades, I came back to it - like the eagles song - "you can check out anytime but you can never leave"
