- JohnB will twang out some truck-drivin' songs.
- KenR follows with his Italian lute
- Next is HarryV with his double aulos to play us the sounds of the ancient Mediterranean (I had to Wikipedia this one to find out what this is called)
- AndrewG has some English Renaissance music
- Sylvain goes for some monster sounds ala Phil Spector
- MikeF has his own set of trucker songs
- Andrew and Harry return for their second sets
- KenR will finish the night on a roll, with some rollicking German beerhall music.
And as always a music video clip, and this time I am using the waaaayback machine to go back to my childhood days with a clip that will likely appeal to no one but me. But, heck thee's minion's prerogative isn't there? Singalong Jubilee was a weekly CBC music show that ran from 1961-74. The show stated the careers of many Atlantic Canadian singers including Anne Murray and Ken Tobias and was cohosted by my Uncle Jim Bennet (that's him in the 1970's sideburns below). Jim was a singer/songwriter and all around great guy. I tried to find a clip of him playing one of his own songs but this was all I could find. Family summers included a lot of campfire songs on the wharf in St Margaret's Bay, belting out Jim's songs and many others.
