Oh yes they are a beating.. so here we have a further top up of 145 Beja tribesman. These are all Perry metals as I was kindly contacted through my blog by a fellow gamer who had a pile he would never use - and would i take them of his hands for small consideration.. you bet I did - thanks Kevin.
I added lots more flags this time for aesthetic effect.
Having done a recount of forces after the last lot - I now have 880 as I was a bit short on estimate (rather i forget i sold a 100 about 4 years ago , grrr - hey hum)
The final 120 are on order.. in the meantime I have a few other items to keep me busy until the end of next week. And i will then do a full table shot of the whole collection.
Cheers and happy painting people!
Welcome to the Painting Challenge. Here you will find the fabulous, fevered work of miniature painters from around the world. While participants come from every ethnicity, gender, age and nationality, they have three things in common: they love miniatures, they enjoy a supportive community, and they want to set themselves against the Challenge. This site features the current year's event along with the archives of past Painting Challenges. Enjoy your visit and remember to come back soon.

Another astonishing points nuke Dave! Fabulous. You are now looking 4K in the face. The drums beat on...
ReplyDeletecheers matey - i think i can say in all safety i will get to 4k now...
Delete...and the inclusion of the extra flags are a great touch to the force.
ReplyDeleteaah wait til you see group shot!!
DeleteDave - you'd better slow down or your smoldering paint brushes will set off the fire alarms!
ReplyDeleteLovely points bomb :)
i think my brushes are nearly worn out!
DeleteThe drums are deafening. Turn it down a bit bro. Huge bunch of miniatures. What an excellent collection you must have now. Great work. cheers
ReplyDeletecheers - what , cant hear you , its noisy here
DeleteI didn't think I could be any more impressed by the speed of painting and the quality you still maintain....... But now I am!
ReplyDeletecheers! - just nicely warmed up now!
DeleteYou do know that deep down we all hate you don't you? ;-)
ReplyDeleteSeriously great work mate, really looking forward to that group photo
Ian
you wait til they are running over your square mate - you will regret that..!
DeleteAgain !$%@ing hell. Brilliant, do you buy you paint by the gallon and do you game on a field
ReplyDeleteer.. its beginning to feel that way... ! the logistical tail is a nightmare!
DeleteYou are truly mad! Holy crap that's a lot of painted lead again! I figure you don't have a problem with paint drying up in bottles with the speed you are getting these done :)
ReplyDeleteI dont have that problem usually that is for sure , cheers
DeleteThat is a grand horde of savages! ;)
ReplyDeleteI think to keep up with the top 15 here, I'll need to hang up my ruck, retire, get an extra set of robotic arms, and have coffee intravenously put in my system!
Grand work, sir! The flags really set them off!
cheers! sounds like a plan! RoboPainter
DeleteThis is inspiring...and also depressing...well done Dave! I remember when I thought I had "a lot" of Madhists, and that was just over 50 of them...
ReplyDeleteWell you have to good with the bad... Enjoy the good.. Cheers
DeleteLOL! Impressive doesn't even begin to describe this (or the rest of your work this year either for that matter). Are they really all called Abdul? One of them looks like an Abdel to me...
ReplyDeleteHa ha!.. No it's Abdul and his mate Abdul 1, 2 and 3.. And his cousin Abdul..
DeleteMadness!! How am I supposed to compete against this when I'm agonising stupidly over the intricacies of Hungarian trouser braiding!? :) Well done Dave, looks like I'll be fighting for second place! Very nice they look, and great flags too.
ReplyDeleteHa ha! I do feel your pain..I did some Mamalukes a few years ago they took an age! Napoleonics should be double points...
DeleteGreat looking bunch! Your flags really add some nice focal points.
ReplyDeleteCheers
DeleteCan't fault your dedication, that's something special - well done, Dave!
ReplyDeleteI asked Millsy if you had an opponent. He said "Yes, lack of storage space."
; )
Ha ha... There may be something in that.
DeleteGobsmacked! Great stuff. Sadly only 20 less than my new, revised down, challenge target.
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you!
