JamesB: British Infanty through the ages (160 Points)

For my next entry to the challenge I offer you three lots of British troops but from three different periods. Also I move away from my army painting standard and try to push my self (and my painting skills) with new figures for skirmish games.
First up I give you some 40mm Perry Miniatures these fantastic sculpts are a true joy to paint and i encourage everyone to try painting this scale at least once. I started with the 60th Rifles and have a Sgt and 6 riflemen Raised in the colonies as the Royal American Rifles by the Napoleonic wars they had become the 60th Rifles and were one of the elite units.

I have pushed my blending of the highlights on these figures and and very happy with my work, these will be used to play Sharp Practise and as such I have a few more to paint to make them a full unit, these are based on 40mm round base's.
Second up I move up to the Colonial period and offer you 20 plastic Perry miniatures these are painted to my basic gaming level but look great I have the rest of the box to finish but wanted to get these done early as I want to play a bit of Sudan wars and was lacking the British Infantry

And lastly something very new for me Modern British Special Force's I have painted these four as a start to this new period, I plan to play using the Spectre Rules and have lots of figures and vehicles added to the lead pile that will move up the queue. Again I have pushed my painting skills on these Empress Miniature 28mm figures, very nice clean casts with sharp detail all based on 2p sized base's. These first four figures are designed as SAS but can be easily used as PMC (Private Military Contractors) while the last two figures are "downed Air crew" and will make some fun scenarios for search and resue or can again be used as PMC.

I am working hard on my Photography and have a few more tweaks to do but happy enough with the pictures (the figures are not as glossy in real life). Next up for me more Modern and 40mm Nap
The 40mm Figures are also my first points towards my Sharp Practise Side Duel.

MilesR: James - these figures are really exceptionally well done - some of the best of the competition so far.  I can't really pick a favorite - they're all good and much better than anything I could muster.  My maths tell me that 7 40mm figures and 26 28mm figs nets you a whopping 179 points!
