MartinC For my next trick I shall paint some more Colonials Ready for Monday 410pts

Despite my output rate my mojo is a little off. I'm still focused on figs that are fairly easy to paint. No straps, no lace and no freaky colours.
So I have been continuing the colonials and present to you some Mahdists and NW frontier types, including camels - for those of you not in on the joke it's a long running theme that somebody (usually DaveD) is painting bloody camels. Finally some Boers and a lonesome cowboy.

Black Tree Design Boers

Boer Field Gun and Crew - various manufacturers and a Col Bills mountain gun

Random Cowboy from a Northstar lucky bag

Perry Beja on Camels - told you there would be camels

Homemade figs. I cast the bodies from the swarf  I collect (I know I collect the swarf  - it's not the saddest thing I do) and added heads, arms and weapons from the bits box

Perry Plastics Mahdist types - I don't use the classic patched clothes and I can use them more widely than just the Sudan

Beja - Perry and a Northstar lucky bag

Old Glory Pathans

Perry Flag holders. At the moment I'm thinking of building a phalanx for use as more ancient figs.

Overall that's 68 infantry, 1 field gun and 6 cavalry. That should be 410 points unless Miles decides that making your own figures is worth a few more points. Oh to have such power.

Bye now

MilesR: Now that's a nice colonial themed points bomb- nice range of figures and periods 9I am partial to the Perry figures) but the Northstar cowboy really stands out to me.  This is one of the first times I've seen home cast figures in a Challenge submission - now that is rocking it "Old School"

  18. A very strong entry. The Madhist chief with the raised sword looks so sinister! Good work all around, especially with the camel jockeys.
I didn't know swarf was a word - my learning for today!
