From AlexS: Green tide (250 points)

Hi all again. For two weeks I slept, ate, played with the kids and playing computer games. And, instead of painting the Napoleonic Wars, I decided to paint the mercenaries of the great game "Total war: Rome". We all love this game, and have spent many hours playing it. These miniatures have become a kind of a tribute to this game.

Mercenary peltasts

A bit dubious conversion light and ordinary Greek cavalry of the Numidian cavalry.

Simon Miller recently in his blog posted a great job: Numidia elephants. LINK
This work inspired me very much, and I also made a Numidian elephant.

General view

Total:
32 inf - 160 points
8 cav - 80 points
1 elef - 10 points
in all: 250 points

MilesR: Oh all the hours I wasted - oops - I mean devoted to Rome Total War - this post brings back memories!  Your figures are wonderful but I'm going to count the Ellie as a vehicle and give you and extra 5 points to a total of 255.

  5. Super work Alex. I really like your halftone grey groundwork. It's diffused effect really makes the figures pop. Very nice.

  10. What a sweet entry. The brushwork and the basing are of a very high calibre and the heffalump is a thing of beauty. Well done.
