The Votes are In for the 'Home' Theme Round!

 Hello Challengers and Viewers!

We had another great theme round with an abundance of evocative terrain highlighting the topic of 'Home'.

The entries this week ran a wide range of topics. A Roman camp and farmstead. A space habitat of the far future. There were several poignant entries depicting homes in ruins, highlighting the sobering cost of war on civilian life. Also there were also several light-hearted submissions with ghosts and gouls haunting homes and mausoleums, and even a very odd statue in the jungle. (Doh!)  My thanks to all the participants who made the round a success.

Runners Up (with several ties)

John's 'Homer Jungle Statue'

Byron's 'Terrorist Base'

Michael's 'Home is Where the Tusk Is'

Adam's 'Frostgrave Home'

and Curt's 'Home of Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru'

3rd Place (tied)

Sidney's bright and orderly 'Laarden Townhouse'

and Lee's minute but fully realized 'Roman Farmstead'

Both Sidney and Lee will receive 25 bonus points to their totals. Well done lads!

2nd Place

Nick's (aka MartinN) poignant 'If Walls Could Talk'

Nick will be awarded 50 points for his fine work here.

...and in First Place

Christopher's wonderfully rustic 'North American Blockhouse'

Christopher will receive 75 bonus points PLUS a gift certificate from our friend Alf over at Barrage Miniatures. Congratulations Christopher, Nick, Lee and Sidney!

For the stats oriented in the crowd, here are the results of this round:

Alright, next week is our 'West' theme and so I'm looking forward to seeing lots of entries relating to that part of the compass. Remember the deadline is midnight next Saturday (25th). Our Monday Minion from last year, PeterD, will be standing in for me as Guest Minion that day as I try to catch up on my own work.

Have a great week everyone!

  12. A lot of very fine pieces! Due to illness and military, I did miss a lot. The gallery is absolutely full of eye candy though!
All I'll say for the Snow lord's entry is a "aw shucks" nobody wants to see a big Indian shuffle feet and blush...we don't have the proper complexion for it! ;)
