Bi-weekly Duel Update - Games Workshop Minis Duel - Update #1

Hello one and all, and welcome to the first update for the GW Minis Side Duel. Curt had originally asked for bi-weekly updates, but then asked that the person administering the duel to issue updates themselves. So, with 2 weeks of painting under our collective belts, it's time to look at the current state of the GW Minis Duel.

The Challengers participating in this duel are:

Barks
DrQ
Paul O'G
PaulS
StuartL
TeemuL
(I believe that Reilly O'G was mentioned as being a possible entrant but that was never confirmed).

And the current scores on the board are:
Barks - 0 Points. While Barks did post an Adeptus Mechanicus Christmas Tree, it was not an actual GW Mini.

DrQ - 130 Points. The good Doctor has produced some excellent festive conversions, some Orks and Dwarves in flying contraptions and a group of cultists.

Paul O'G - 102 Points. Paul seems to be doing well on expanding his army of Beastmen, he has also painted up a couple of balls for Blood Bowl.

PaulS - 77 Points. Our other Paul has painted up a tank, some hi-tech cultists, a cook and a three-armed sorceress.

StuartL - 287 Points. With a large horde of skeletons, some overly-muscled gangers and a few Necrons, I have earned myself quite a few points so far.

TeemuL - 75 Points. Teemu has graced the challenge with a group of Riders of Rohan and their leader.

Reilly O'G - 310 Points. Though not yet officially entered in the side duel, Reilly has managed a great score so far, with hordes of Goblins and Dwarves propelling him to a potential first place position so far.

And that's where we are at this point in the challenge. If anyone else wishes to join, please comment below. The rules are simple, any GW made minis (Including the Citadel, Marauder and Forge World brands) are eligible. Bonus points from the Chambers of Challenge or awarded by minions don't count towards your total. Conversions where at least 50% of the base model is from GW are counted towards your score as well.

Finally, if all of the challengers in this duel could keep a running total of their scores in their posts, that would be very helpful. Thank you!

    1. There seems to be a fair amount of competition. Hopefully the other side duels will also showcase their best and brightest.

    1. It's not about choosing the best, just who paints the most.
