A quick monster today; a dragon from Descent. I'm going to try and smash out a fair bit of this boardgame in my remaining time. After the base, this is 99% Contrast over a white undercoat; wings Aggaros Dunes, claws Skeleton Horde, then scales Flesh Tearers Red. I picked out eyes, teeth, face highlights- done.
1x 28mm monster (2x3" base): 15 points?
+7 skullz
Nice dragon 🐉 Barks, love the colour and the veiny wings!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Simon! I just slapped on the Contrast and stepped back.
DeleteThat looks fantastic. That contrast paint seems to have worked a treat on this beasty.
ReplyDeleteIt really did; there's enough texture for it to shine.
DeleteSplendid looking dragon! I guess this is what contrast is designed for?
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
I think so- a quick boardgame piece that's not going to be entered in a comp.
DeleteSplendid Sparks
ReplyDeletecheers

Thanks, Matt!
DeleteLovely
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteFor a quick job that looks very fine, Barks. Well done. As to points, I agree, he/she has roughly the same volume of a large 20mm vehicle, so 15 points.
ReplyDeleteNot quite a vehicle but more than a horse and rider.
DeleteLooking fierce!

Cheers, Christopher!
DeleteNicely done Barks - and a fine skull total on this one as well...
ReplyDeleteThe icing on the cake!
DeleteNice, contrast works so well on sculpts like this.
ReplyDeleteSo I'm finding out!
DeleteDragon looks really good Barks, plus skulls.
ReplyDeleteIf it's got skullz it gets to leapfrog my painting queue!
DeleteI agree this is a very well painted figure for a "quickie"! And the skullz really finish it don't they?!
ReplyDeleteEvery model is enhanced by a few skullz!
