Infamy Infamy ....well sort of
First up this week a quick ride in lady Sarah’s limousine from Black and White to Science Fiction
For my payment let me present Marguerite of Anjou, painted for the invasion of England during the War of the Roses, a Perry 28mm miniature. Inspiration for her dress from her portrait in Angers Chateau which we visit regularly.Next up the Science Fiction challenge are two versions of Cybermen, I remember seeing these fine chaps for the first time on Dr Who in the seventies as a young child, they are a mix of early and late versions and almost feel like cheating in some way….simple silver, ink wash, highlight. I would like some more but not sure of the maker, the older type were soft plastic and later Cybermen are hard plastic. I have painted them both with moon bases as that was the original story I seen in the seventies.

Third one complete for Green, but have another planned.... |
Infamy, Infamy…..of a sort, Foundry miniatures naked Germans, these are great miniatures, but skin takes a lot longer than you think…I still have 30 odd too do…. Some more Infamy coming!
Naked Germanics, must be a hot summer for once |

DeleteNice variety here, Maximus and Marguerite (sounds like a great singing duo btw) are both excellent!
ReplyDeleteLol, I think Marguerite would look down her nose at a lowly general!

DeleteSplendid Margaret of Anjou, enjoyed my walk around Angers last month, great looking cybermen and ancients!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Yes I love Angers, it is only 50 mins from us and we visit regularly. We also visit her chateau in the summer for the medieval festival
DeleteYay!
ReplyDeleteMargaret of Anjou ... one of my fave historical figures :)
Yes, she is one of my wives favorites also, we visit several chateaux in the Loire that she owned.
DeleteLove the Germans and Max and Bob!
ReplyDeleteThanks mate, the Germans were painful so many layers of skin tone…. But really happy with them. Maximus was a breeze to paint 5 colours….
DeleteGreat tackle-out tribesmen - I was just reading one theory for the nekkid fighting is that wounds were less likely to become infected and fatal because filthy fabric didn't get pushed into them.
ReplyDeleteMy theory is the “Freeeeeeedom”
