From DaveD - Red Guards (200 points)

The raising of my early Bolshevik Red Army continues apace. Three fresh units of Red Guards and various Checka / Commisars and heroines . All from the Coppplestone BOB range . I have progressed through these pretty quickly and have painted all I thought would need to/want to. However having enjoyed painting them so much I have a further top up on order from North Star which may make an appearance later adding MG’s and cavalry and maybe some sailors.  I have the British MKV Tank being made up at Pendraken. I am tempted to do it as a captured one for the Bolos.

Forward comrades !

These lads will be defending Vladivostok tomorrow- being run by MartinC - against a Japanese sneak attack. Oh and we have a BEF force. That will be the Brazilian Expeditionary Force. One of the joys of the back of beyond is a freedom of creation. What can possibly go wrong for the whole Bolshevik force being newly raised I wonder? The flag is one for the Eastern Bolsheviks.

I have even been adding decals for the sleeve insignia. I found a stash of very small stars that are suitable for them.

I am certain that this way lies madness . Fortunately I have used all I had!

Next is the even bigger gun tractor. This I am sure is a WW2 version, but I am happy to include it as transport for the BoB.  I need to get a proper BIG gun for it to tow. So I am off looking for a 150mm M1910 Schneider. Maybe something bigger …Mmmwahaa

It was a bargain at £2.50.
A  2 mins repair job and simple paint and it’s Bolos your uncle as they say.

Here is the complete force raised so far:

That for now sees ALL of the Bolos in stock completed . I have really enjoyed painting them. Now I just need North Star to get their finger out and send me more ! TBF I only placed my order last week and they will be cast to order no doubt , but I wants em!

Time to go do something different for a while .

Points :

36 infantry = 180 pts

Vehicle = 20 pts

Total 200 pts

Ah, some more large clouds of Bolsheviks! May they all be fed into the sight lines of waiting machine guns from the opposing forces, whoever they might be! This variant of the "BEF" you describe sure sounds entertaining. Well done Dave! That is 200 points for you, and we look forward to what might come next.
