Ok so this week just a filler piece and its "squirrellite" at under 25 points so I missed that - oops.
Anyway in keeping with my own challenge to clear some of my mountain, I have painted this freebie from a Partizan Show. Only trouble is its someone elses mountain clearout so I haven't really reduced my lead pile.
Its a funny old world.
King Stephen and Queen Matilda were at the sharp end of the "Anarchy" a period in English history when the Norman conquest was over but succession was not a straighforward thing especially with so many factions having the need to control both England and Normandy not to mention growing external threats like France.
I opted to paint Stephen with Citadel Contrast Colours with Warp Lightning green, Baal red and Tallassar Blue the key colours. Stephens hair is Vallejo Game Colour Bone white with Citadel Seraphim Sepia wash while the crown is Vallejo Game Colour polished gold over citadel iyandi darksun. Fleshtone is Vallejo flat flesh with seraphim sepia over wash.
Matilda (again a partizan freebie) was a previous years AHPC entry but joins him for a final shot.
Total points = 1 x 28mm figure = 5 points.
Great work on this partizan freebie John, nice vibrant colours befitted of a King. I am nowhere near organized to keep a list of my colours used on any particular figure. He looks great up against Matilda too. Great potential for gaming in the Anarchy, also great background reading in the Brother Cadfael mysteries.
That's 5 points and a tiny bit of a squirrel.
