This week the open mike night will feature the following acts:
- BrianC starts us off with funeral dirges
- JohnB follows with a Medieval Madrigal
- MartinC will get his hair dreadlocked to sing some Reggae
- Dallas will then wake us all up with some chaotic heavy metal
- Sylvain the Half-Orc then completes his German song cycle.
This week I promised some music that was at least from this century. Here's a clip of Canadian singer-songwriter Kathleen Edwards playing live outdoors on what apparently is a bad hair day. I love the guitar work on this. Kathleen starts it off with some big acoustic rhythm work and then her bandmate kicks in some searing riffs on that lovely looking red hollow-body (looks to be a Gretsch). I've no idea what going on with her and her bandmates' arms.
