I will be back for one last post this challenge but this is the last stompy robot post. Squeezed more painting time in last weekend than expected and finished the remaining lances of Battletech I was given to paint.
First off is another unit of Bluestar Irregulars:
Followed by a generic inner sphere scout lance:
Finally a Stormhammer lance for the Lyran Rangers:
Since all these mech's will be heading home to their owners this weekend, I figured a AHPC16 class picture was in order:
Score:12 Mechs @ 5 for 60 points.
12 points for the Stompy robots of death duel.
I have not been tracking Squirrels but for fun I figured I would look back and count (Cartoon Pulp Figures, BT Innersphere factions (Steiner, Grey Death Legion, Olsons Raiders, Somerset Strikers), ACW Union, ACW CSA, SF TV Pulp).
So my duels will end here:
Skulls - 21
BSRoD - 42
Squirrels: 8
=====================
Sylvain: Another great bunch of robots. All your mechs look awesome in their respective house "livery". I can understand your satisfaction of having completed your painting objectives. I'm glad you had a great challenge. Bravissimo!

Nice work on all of the Mechs during the Challenge Tom - some impressive focus on a project which clearly engaged you. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Nice to play with painted mechs.
DeleteGrat bunch of romps stompy robots. Love the blue livery
ReplyDeletethanks. Blue and grey are combination seems very prevalent in this setting.
DeleteGreat work, Tom, that's a lot of Bots!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ray. Luckily I don’t have to store all of them. Now I can just game.
ReplyDeleteAppreciate all your excellent minioning Sylvain. It was a great challenge.
ReplyDeleteExcellent bots Tom. Great challenge and a super class photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bruce. Of course afterwards I notice some of the shorter guys were hiding...
DeleteGreat bunch of Mechs, Tom. Love the group shot.
ReplyDeleteGlad I remembered this year. Last challenge I let most of them escape without a group shot.
DeleteGot to love a host of stompy robots
ReplyDeleteStompy robots it is - nice
DeleteI've loved seeing the Stompy Robots throughout the challenge Tom - where do you source then from?
ReplyDeleteAll but 4 of them were Catalyst miniatures released for the most part via kickstarters but available through retail & their store now. They are significantly larger than the old classic metal miniatures ranging up to 55mm tall. I have 5 (!) BT crazed friends with large collections I have been assisting with the painting. The other 4 were 3D prints one of them "needed" extras of.
DeleteLove the stompiness!
ReplyDeleteLove the subtle shading in the Stormhammer Lance.
