Well, that's a wrap for AHPC XVI! Like so many have said, the time does fly by. Did I manage to make my points target? No! Did I manage to focus on a few core projects? Sort of! But I did make some great progress on some fun projects, and that is, as they say, the most important part! Let's take a quick trip through some highlights of this latest Challenge...
Assorted Bits
 |
| An Onmioji ready to confront evil Oni... |
 |
| Mercenary artillery in 10mm. |
 |
| Imperialist pike block for "Epic" Pike & Shotte. |
 |
| 100 Years War - Joan of Arc leads the way... |
Smaller 30k Stuff
 |
| XV Legion Detachment. |
 |
| XVI Legion Detachment. |
 |
| A few more XV Legion guys... |
The Dogs of War
This is year two for my Dogs of War project, and I was really happy to get these units over the line - the Dogs of War collection is now nearly complete...
 |
| Borgio the Besieger. |
 |
| Mydas the Mean, Sheikh Yadosh and bodyguards to protect the pay chest. |
 |
| Ricco's Republican Guard. |
 |
| Leopold's Leopard Company. |
And that's that! A big thank-you to everyone who followed along, and also to all of the great members of the Thursday team. All who took the time to leave supportive comments were greatly appreciated, and helped to sustain the painting momentum. Sylvain was also a wonderful minion, and I always looked forward to his summaries at the bottom of each post. Last but no least, many thanks to Curt and Sarah! Hope to see everyone again next year!
Well done Greg- every challenger is a winner really! I really liked your Dogs of War units (wish I could find some at a sensible price!) and your 30k Heresy stuff - those Saturnine boys are fabulous! See you in December :-)
ReplyDeleteCheers Paul - and I'm very glad you enjoyed the Saturnine fellows - your enthusiasm was a great inspirational counterpoint to my ambivalence about them. See you in December!
DeleteThe return of Axehole was quite nice too. Wonderful painting.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Tom!
DeleteI'm looking at your whole production during the Challenge and I'm really impressed by the quality of painting, especially at the smaller scale. It makes me regret not living in the Toronto area so we could have games with our 6mm stuff. You had a very productive Challenge and I hope to share the joy of painting with you again next time.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Sylvain! If I am able to make to Regina some time, no worries - the 6mm stuff will fit easily in the luggage!
DeleteIts great to see these figures again Greg - I've really enjoyed seeing what you've produced again as in previous challenges. Whatever you produce is always superbly painted with fantastic colour schemes - I'm not sure what I like most, the 30K stuff or the Dogs of war - both are fantastic
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Kerry!
DeleteSuperb painting there Greg.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteA great effort this year Greg, well done that man!!!
ReplyDeleteCheers Ray!
DeleteVery impressive, Greg!
ReplyDeleteThanks Barks! I was a little low on the skull count this year...hope to do better this December...
DeleteImpressive output in quality and quantity, Greg! Dogs of War were my favourites and I enjoyed your rant on WH40k, too. :) See You in December!
ReplyDeleteCheers Teemu! Looking forward to seeing you again in December!
DeleteI know you wanted to get more done (we all do!), but the stuff you completed was fantastic. Of course I'm biased, as my favourites are the Onmyogi and the Raven Guard Optae. But gosh, your DoW were fabulous as well, and your Epic 30YW, and... :) Well done, dude!
ReplyDeleteThanks my friend!
DeleteGreat work here dude. From the 30K stuff to DoW to epic pike and shotte.... you've covered a lot!
ReplyDeleteCheers Dallas!
DeleteGreg, I was amazed at your warhammer stuff so you get my vite for best figure - axehole 2.0!
ReplyDeleteHaha thanks. The Axehole will appreciate your support :-)
DeleteI love the mounted knights! Great collection of figures!
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter!
DeleteAmazing work Greg. Your Warhammer DOW are so impressive and your wee troops have inspired me. Well done.
ReplyDeleteCheers Bruce!
