Is it Spring Yet?

So good to have Thursday out of the way, as I'm burning with jealousy at the Aussies and their continued complaints about summer, while winter clings to my home town like a dessicated swamp hag.  As I check the calendar, I see spring approaches, although it often arrives in Winnipeg with the reliability of a "new release" from Battlefront i.e. about two months after it is pronounced, so I wait in my bunker and grumble while the Winnipeg Jets race to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.  Millsy and his heat waves...

All the same, we are into March now, and starting to run out Challenge runway.  I'd better get some more bloody stuff painted! And as for the Friday gang, they put on quite a show last week, but we'll have to see if we can top that - or the points bombardment unleashed this week by the Wednesday crew...

More feats of brushwork await as we cruise towards another weekend...on with the posts!

  1. reliability of a "new release" from Battlefront-- that made me laugh... but I am still looking for some of the troops from early war to make an apearence, those colonial French Spahi for example. I think spring realy has a better repuration.

  2. I feel your pain about waiting for spring. Though winter wouldn't be bad if there was proper amounts of snow, for us it's now seesawing between plus degrees during the day and minus over the night so that the roads are constantly frozen and everything looks like s**t.

Too bad about the Jets, starting to look pretty desperate with the points gap for the wild card.

Oh crap, that means a smidgeon over 2 weeks left for painting before the Challenge ends!

    Don't panic! Don't panic!

  5. The only thing I'm looking forward to with spring is Adepticon! The stars have aligned so work and military schedules have allowed me to attend my first convention in this century!
Otherwise Spring is just a covert word meaning my Honey-Do list is going to explode! ;)

  7. Oh I'm soooo cold my poor bones are aching. Blah, blah, blah. :-) We have a most generous immigration policy dontchaknow? You too could be enjoying sun, sand and surf if you don't mind the jellyfish, snakes, spiders, scorpions and drop bears...

  8. Pah! We've been having autumn from the real autumn right up to now, the harshest we've had is a cold spell of 3 days with a minimum temp of -10 degrees Celsius, the kid and me would kill for some snow to go sleighing or throw some snowballs at mom!
