From Barks: Snowflake the Black-Heart Paindeer (10 points)

I won't be getting stuck into the Challenge until next year, but did want to get some festive points on the scoreboard. I'll put up more of an 'about me' post later as well. Maybe this entry says plenty about me anyway?

This is Snowflake from Imitation of Life, a growing 3D sculpt range I really like. He's on a 40mm base and is 8cm to the tip of his antlers. I'm getting more confident in the use of Contrast as a time saver.

80mm tall monster: 10 points?

Pretty trippy, Barks. I really like him. I can't decide if it's the ornaments hanging off his antlers, or the red rockstar pants. Delightfully weird and cool mini.

  3. Cracking start Barks! Lovely little sculpt. And a 3D designer I hadn't heard of. Have to look into it more as this sculpt is amazing!

  5. I don't know, you most likely need a narrative scenario, if you want to play with him. Well done!

  9. Purest work Barks on this rather twisted reindeer. Love the blades along the candy cane.

  12. He’s great Barks but not sure I want him leaving anything under my tree, like a severed head or something equally grym! Lovely first entry.

    1. He only does that for bad boys and girls- and you have been good, haven’t you, Padre? Haven’t you?

  14. A great, if not disconcerting figure. I can see why you like it, and you've done a top paint-job on it too.

  18. Greetings, Barks! A festive fellow he is! I really like the ornaments on his antlers. The whole model is very nice, but I really like the different reds and greens. Seems like he just smashed through a Christmas tree! ;)

    1. That’s the idea I was going for! I did abandon any thought of a snowy base, though.
