Before I get into what I did, I want to thank Curt and his crew of minions for the hard work they did monitoring, adjudicating, tabulating, commenting, etc., and for the design of the Challenge Studio Lot. I also want to thank all those who left comments on my posts. They did a lot to keep me motivated. I tried to respond to all of them and reciprocate in kind. If I missed you, my apologies. In addition I send out my congratulations to all the other participants on the amazing levels of skill and production displayed in an amazing array of different genres and scales.
This was my second year of active participation in the Challenge. Although I didn't manage to get as much done as last year, or as much as I had set up in my queue, I am still pretty satisfied with what I did complete. In the three months of painting I was able to finish a total of 15 mounted and 90 foot 15mm figures, 31 mounted and 241½ foot 28mm figures, one 40mm figure, three 54mm figures, six 1/56 WW2 vehicles, and 1½ cubes of terrain before the clock ran out. In addition, I visited six Green studios, four Blue studios, and the Director's Chair. It was enough to hang on to 10th place in the final standings. Here are the pics of what got painted.

The snow in my yard is slowing melting, and soon I will be heading off to other hobbies, but hopefully still doing a bit of painting and gaming between now and the Winter Solstice and the start of the Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge XIV. I hope to see you all next December.

DeleteTally ho! I hadn't appreciated how much LotR stuff you had done until I saw it all together.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Barks. LotR was my theme this year. It turned out to be a bit more time consuming than painting hordes of Soviet infantry. :^)
DeleteNicely done sir. That's a considerable volume of painted minis.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lee.
DeleteFabulous work there- lots to be proud of! Toddle-pip!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Paul.
DeleteExcellent work. That is quite an achievement.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Peter.
DeleteYou believe to have underperformed this year but I envy your output... well I'm not sure if I envy more your output than seeing you sitting in that Spitfire cockpit. Hope to see you around next December
ReplyDeleteThank you, Benito. If you are envious of me sitting in the Spitfire cockpit, I won't post pics of the Hurricane, Lancaster, or Corsair. :^)
DeleteLOL! Naughty man
DeleteGreat work this year Frederick. Loved the LOTR stuff
ReplyDeleteThanks, Peter. LotR was this year's theme. Not as quick to paint up as the Soviet hordes of last year. ;^)
DeleteCongrats on a great outing Frederick.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Greg.
DeleteGreat varied output !
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks, Iain.
DeleteGreat work, Frederick! I have much enjoyed your painting this year. There is so much to choose from, but I particularly liked your LOTR stuff and your wonderful tower. Thanks also for your kind and motivational comments. See you in December!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Martijn. Definitely. :^)
