From TamsinP: How To Write And (Not) Publish Your Posts

"Good morning Ladies, Gentlemen...and Ray. My name is TamsinP and I will be the Senior Flight Attendant for your journey through Challenge XII Quadrant. As we have a number of first-time passengers and some who are returning after a gap (also because there have been some changes to how we are doing things) I have been asked by Captain Campbell, our Chief Pilot, to write a guide on how to record your memoirs of this expedition. I hope that this instructional post will help."

Tamsin's Terribly Terrific Tutorial To Challenge Posting

Before You Post

Just a little checklist for you to consider:

  1. Have I taken photos of everything I am including in the post?
  2. Are there at least 3 photos of everything, taken from different angles?
  3. Have all the photos been resized to a maximum of 1000 pixels in either direction?
  4. Have I worked out how many points I am claiming?

If your answers to all four questions is a resounding "Yes!", then you may proceed.

A Request On Behalf Of The Minions

"Given how many passengers we have on this year's tour, please (please, pretty please) try not to overwhelm your poor, suffering, wretched minions with hundreds of posts every week. If you can combine multiple entries into a single post, that would be very helpful. That being said, you might want to do a separate post for "Quadrant" submissions."

"Remember, the minions are all volunteers and doing the minioning stuff does take them away from their own painting."

How to Create a New Post

1. Open the Challenge Blog (linky-link)

2. Click on "New Post" (as indicated by the red arrow in the photo above). This will take you to this screen:

3. Click on "New Post" (as indicated by the red arrow in the photo above). This will take you to the post editing screen:

Congratulations! You may now begin writing your post!

A quick word about post formats. There is a certain preferred "style", simply because it looks good on all screens. However, if you choose to format differently (within reason) you won't be penalised. Just take this guide as, well, a guide on how your post should look.

As a reasonable example of preferred post formatting, here's a post of mine from AHPC X (linky-link).

Post Title

This is very important and there is certain information that must be included. Here is an example of how the Title should look:

A brief explanation of the different parts:

[draft] - This indicates that you haven't finished writing the post. When you are finished writing and happy for it to be published, change [draft] to [ready]. On your posting day, your minion will delete the [ready] from the title once they have finished scoring your submission.

[today] - As everyone has an assigned day for posting submissions (linky-link), please do remember to include this is your post title. For example, my posting day is Sunday so my post titles would start [draft][Sunday]

"NB - The first and last few days of the Challenge are, traditionally,  "free-fire" and you can post submissions on any day of the week. Captain Campbell will advise you as to when the "free-fire" rule applies,"

"From TamsinP:" - Please start your post title with your assigned "handle" (linky-link). After all, we want to know who has painted those wonderful miniature masterpieces - no need to be shy! It's also a great help to the minion who will be scoring your post. You can either use a colon (":") or a spaced hyphen (" - ") as a separator.

"How To Write And (Not) Publish Your Posts" - Something that describes what you are posting. For example, if your submission is a warband of 28mm Orcs, you might make this part of the title "28mm Orc Warband".

(Nul points) - Please do include an estimate of how many points you think the submission is worth. The scoring per figures can be found in the announcement post (linky-link)

Just as a quick addendum, if your submission includes entries for the Challenge XII Quadrant, please include the location name between the description and points claim, eg:

"Phew, that's the Title done with. Onto the main bit. Which should be quite quick and painless*."

Body Of Post

This is the part where you write your actual submission and add all your photos. Some people choose to start by adding a group shot of all the figures in their submission, some start with an introductory text. The choice is yours.

What we expect to see in the text of your submission is:

A description of the miniatures - how many, the scale (eg 28mm), what they are and the manufacturer (if known)
A summary of the points you are claiming for the figures and (where applicable) Quadrant locations, eg:
24 x 15mm foot @ 2 points = 48 points
12 x 15mm mounted @ 4 points = 48 points
9 x 28mm foot @ 5 points = 45 points
Arda (Outer Ring) bonus = 20 points
Total = 161 points

"NB - the points summary is possibly the most important part of the post from the minions' point of view as without it scoring your submission may be difficult (we don't want to spend an hour working out from your photos how many figures you are claiming). "

If your post contains multiple different submissions you can, of course, include a summary after each section and then a "grand summary" at the end.

Beyond that, feel free to write whatever you want. You can, if you want, write a tall tale interspersed with photos (RIP NoelW - you will definitely be missed by us all). You can include a guide to how you painted the figures. Or you can just write "Hey guys and gals - here are some Orcs I've painted".

Adding Photos To Your Post

Yes, we do want to see photos of your painted minis. We do know that not everyone is a great photographer, that not everyone has the best lighting for taking photos and we don't expect that.

What we do want to see?

  • Photos that show how many figures are being claimed - if you are claiming 5 x 28mm orcs, we want to see a photo of the five orcs together.
  • Photos taken from different angles.
  • Close-up photos if you dare!
How to add photos:

1. Assuming you have written a couple of paragraphs of text and wish to insert a photo between them, eg:

2. The first thing to do is click "Enter" to create an additional blank line between the paragraphs:

3. To add your photos Click "insert Image" (as indicated by the red arrow in the photo below):

This will bring up a menu:

4. Click on "Upload from computer" (as indicated by the red arrow in the photo below):

That will open this pop-up window:

5. Click on "Choose files" (as indicated by the red arrow in the photo above). That will open your Folders, like so:

6. Find the folder with the photos you want to add, select them and click "Open" (as indicated by the red arrow in the photo below):

7. Your selected photos should appear in the "Add Images" pop-up window:

8. Make sure that all the photos you want to add are highlighted, then click "Select" (as indicated by the red arrow in the photo above). The photos should now upload to your blog post.

The last photo uploaded should be highlighted and there should be a menu box:

9. Please adjust the image size to "Large" for all your photos - click on the button indicated by the red arrow above:

10. You can add captions underneath your photos. Click on the photo to bring up the menu bar and then click on the "A" button indicated by the red arrow in the photo below:

Underneath the photo you should now see "Add Caption":

Add whatever caption you like to the photo:

"There you go, wasn't that simple and clear*. Now you know how to add photos to your blog post, so that we can all see your lovingly painted miniatures!"

* amended from "clear and simple" to avoid confusion with a brand of soap

Just one more thing (TM Lieutenant Columbo) - please check that there is a blank line between text and photos and also between photos. It just looks nicer (and also makes it easier to correct any formatting issues).

And another thing (also TM Lieutenant Columbo) - please, upload photos rather than linking to photos on another site. Doing so avoids the possibility of broken photo links in future.

"Okay, so we have the post titles, scoring summaries, post text and photos covered. That just leaves one very important thing to cover before we go on to saving and (not) publishing your post."

*I might have been slightly "economical with the truth" when I suggested "quick and painless" at the start of this section.

On The Importance Of Labels And How To Do Them

Labels are pretty important as they allow people to search for specific posts. For example:

  • all posts written by TamsinP
  • all posts for a particular Challenge XII Quadrant location
  • all posts that qualify for entry to the "Sarah's Choice" prize
  • all posts with Orcs
  • etc, etc, etc
So, how do you add labels to your post and what should you include? I'll cover these in reverse order...

What Labels To Include

  • Your "handle" (linky-link) (eg TamsinP), as per the Post Title
  • Scale of figures (eg 28mm)
  • Period (eg WW2)
  • Army/nationality/faction (eg Space Marines)
  • Manufacturer (eg Warlord Games)
  • Challenge XII Quadrant location if applicable (eg Noel's Comet)
  • "Sarah's Choice" if applicable (ie a female figure* is part of the entry)
  • Anything else that you think might be helpful for people searching the blog
* for avoidance of any doubt, the female figure should be humanoid. Painting a bear and claiming it as a female miniature isn't the done thing, is it Ray?

How to Add Labels To Your Post

In the right-hand sidebar, you should see "Labels" at the top:

To add your labels, start typing where it says "Separate labels with com...":

As you start typing, if anything looks like it might match the label you want to add, the "matches" will show below where you are typing:

In the photo above you will see that I have added "TamsinP" and started to type the next label - it has offered a match "Administration" to the "adm" that I have typed. As that is correct, I click on the offered match. One letter earlier in y typing, the list of "matches" was much longer:

If no correct "matches" are offered, finish typing your label, ad a comma immediately after and click "Enter". That will create a new label:

"Is that all clear? Jolly good - we can move on now to saving and (not) publishing your post."

Saving And (Not) Publishing Your Post

Now that you have finished writing your post and are ready for it to go to the minions for scoring, etc, there is just one little task do first - go back to your Post Title and change [draft] to [ready]. All set? OK, let us proceed.

Whatever you do at this point...

DO NOT CLICK PUBLISH!!!!

I repeat...

DO NOT CLICK PUBLISH!!!!

For the avoidance of any doubt....

DO NOT CLICK PUBLISH!!!!

OK, it's not the end of the world if you do click "Publish" but it requires a bit of work to correct it. This is particularly important if you are writing the post ahead of your assigned posting day.

This is what we need you to do.

Just above the red arrow, you will see a button marked "Preview" - click the arrow next to it. That will bring up a small menu:

Click "Save".

NB - you can click "Save" at any point while you are writing your post. It might in fact be a good idea to do so every so often if your post is quite long.

Your post is saved and you can now either close the tab or go to the "Posts" screen if you want to write another post:

To do so, click on the little arrow above the big red arrow. That will return you to the "Posts" screen and you should see your post in the queue:

If all has gone to plan, you should see in orange "Draft" underneath the title of your post.

Now, you may be asking "how do I add links and videos" to my posts. Adding videos (use the "Inset Videos" button next to the "Insert Photos" one) is much the same as adding photos, but we do ask you to link from another site.

Adding links (as I have done several times in this tutorial)  is quite easy.

1. Highlight the text that you wish to use as a link
2. Copy the URL of the page you want to link to
3. Click on the "link" button (as indicated by the red arrow in the photo below):

This will open a pop-up window:

Paste the link where it says to, and then check the box for  "Open the link in a new window". Click "Apply" and you should have created the link.

Phew! I do hope that I'm getting paid overtime for doing this as it's taken me much longer than anticipated, what with all the screen captures and photo editing.

What's that Curt? I'm doing this for free?!?!?!?! Yikes!!!!!

Anyway, that's enough from me for today. I hope that you have found this post useful. If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments below.

Toodle-pip!

The Challenge XII Quadrant Map

Greetings, My Space-Fairing Challengers!

We interrupt our regular programming with this breaking news. Our Rogue-Trader, Sir Sidney Roundwood, has just returned from his perilous journey to the outer reaches of the mysterious Challenge XII Quadrant. After a lho-stick and and an amasec-laced eggnog, here is what he has to report:

'The Challenges of the last two years have been very much earth-bound.  First, we had a long-lost tropical island to investigate, and then a dangerous dungeon under Snow-Lord’s Peak.  Nonetheless, for Challenge XII, we leave behind the dark halls of stone, rising up from the sandy shores of Challenge Island.  In fact, we leave behind Earth completely, and venture into the vastness of Spaaace... (ed. Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

Imagine for a moment, a sky of inky darkness.  But look more closely and, as your eyes adjust,  you can see planets and moons, a comet and satellites, and the tiny feathery whorls of dim nebulae.

This year’s Challenge features the Challenge XII Quadrant, drawn from worlds in literature, gaming, roleplaying, cinema, horror and the imagination.

From your observatory, relaxing in your orbiting star-yacht (another Rogue Trader perhaps), you can trace the arcs of meteors and plot the course of the stars.'

So, consulting your star-charts, arcane almanacs, runes, messages from the Warp and perhaps the Hitchhiker’s Guide, you will find the following astronomical destinations, along with their associated challenges.

*Please note that I have kept the challenges (usually two choices per location) purposefully open and flexible, hopefully providing sufficient elbowroom for creative interpretation.

The Outer Ring

Vulcan: Something Logical; Pointy Ears

Solaris: Deception; Illusion

Arda: Fantasy; Tolkienesque

Caprica: Doomed; Ambush

Glorantha: Quest; Runes; Heroes

Istvaan V: Betrayal; Heretical/Heretics or Loyalty/Loyalists

Babylon5: Operatic; Low Budget Fun

____________________________________________

The Middle Ring

Perelandra: Venus; Oceanic; Temptation

Noel’s Comet: Friendship described miniature, along with a loquacious story (You know, as Noel would say, 'Why use 10 words when ten thousand will do.')

LV426: Aliens; A Really, Really Bad Idea

Arrakis: Desert; Worms; Spice; Machiavellian

Cybertron: Robot(s), Transformation/Transformative

Vogsphere: Bureaucracy; Black Comedy

The Map Rules

You can start your journey at any point along the Outer Ring, or chart a journey on 'Sarah's Star Yacht' if you wish.

'Sarah's Star Yacht' will take you to any planet within a your current Ring for the cost of a painted female figure.

You can move to an inner Ring by 1) completing 4 locations; 2) travelling through a 'Warp Maelstrom' after finishing a location adjacent to one (along with 3 other locations in the ring) ; or 3) travelling through 'The Great Abyssal' (again, after completing 4 location in the ring).

Each completed location (including Sarah's Star Yacht) awards 20 bonus points in addition those points scored from the entry.

Locations accessed by a 'Warp Maelstrom' awards 30 bonus points. The destination will be determined randomly by your Daily Minion.

Hmm. I'm sure I've missing something... If you think of anything I may have overlooked, or not explained properly, feel free to ask in the comments! :)

Looking forward to exploring with you all!

The Participant Roster for AHPC XII

Hi All!

Here is the participant roster along with the posting day and minion assignments for Challenge XII.

I've provided the sheet in two views, one alphabetically by name of participant, and another sorted by posting day and supervising Minion. Please note: You can draft your posts on any day of the week, but they will only go live on the blog, and be scored, on your posting day.

As you can see, I went waaay past my stated ceiling. I suspect that Miles, our spreadsheet guru, now hates me, and I can't even image what our Minions think. Seriously, I can't help myself.

Hmm, I think this is a new record for the Challenge. Anyway, I figure the more the merrier - let the chaos reign! :)

Now sorted by posting Day:

Paint Duels & Side Challenges

The calling out of paint duels, side challenges, and grudge matches extends from the earliest editions of the Challenge, and have become a time-honoured tradition - an established part of Challenge lore.

These affairs de la brosse are meant to keep participants motivated over the three months of the Challenge, and create a fun atmosphere of smack-talk, brush-baiting and ridiculous paint vendettas.

For those who are new to this silliness, the paint duels allow a pair of individuals or small groups to test one another against a self-defined set of criteria. Maybe it's to see who can paint the most points of a specific type of model over the length of the Challenge (i.e. The Ship Challenge), or who can paint the most figures in the most periods/genres (i.e. The Squirrel Duels); other side challenges might be created to see who can reach a specific points threshold first (Points Race). The sky's the limit - really, it's up to your imagination.

Simply issue your challenge down in the comments and see if other Challengers take up your gauntlet. I suggest that those involved keep close track of their duels themselves, producing updates on the blog to keep the rest of us informed and amused. If there is enough interest, we may assign a minion to help provide periodic updates on the duels (casting my eye over the oar benches...) on our special page dedicated for this! You can find the link to the Duels page on the top navigation bar to see previous year's events.

Okay folks! Let's have some fun with this! We all want to see blood and feathers (and spilled paint) before March 20th. :)

Next up: This year's Challenge roster along with posting day/minion assignments.

The Twelfth Annual Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge

Hey y'all, it's November 20th, and you know what that means: Well, yes it's getting close to winter, but it's also time to register and start preparing for that event that will make it more tolerable and fun. Yes! the Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge!

For this Painting Challenge, our 12th edition, we'll be charting our way through the 'Challenge XII Sector', a constellation of planets on the outer rim (of good taste) originating from film, TV and literature. More on this below.

The Basics

The Challenge will extend from the first day of Winter, 12:01 am December 21st, through to the first day of Spring, 12:01am March 20th, Central Standard Time (CST).
Miniatures (i.e. figures, vehicles, artillery, terrain, etc.) can be prepared, assembled and primed prior to the start date, but you cannot start painting until December 21st. In order to gain full points, the figures should be based (if appropriate) and any planned groundwork completed. The figures have to be painted by you.
The Challenge follows the honour system in the completion and entry of figures.
Miniatures can be in any scale and in any genre (pulp-adventure, science-fiction, fantasy, etc.).
In order to be scored, participants will self-publish photos of their submissions along to the Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge blog. Up-to-date scoring (or as up-to-date as we can manage) will be maintained on the blog's main page.
I will send out an email to all Challengers a few days prior to the event with further details on submitting your entries.
All participants must have an entry submitted within the first four weeks of the event (i.e. January 21st). Failure to do so will result in being dropped from the Challenge roster.
I will participate, but my score will have no standing in the Challenge (except to serve as a rather lame beginning pace car for participants).

The Scoring

Below is the scoring that will be used for the Challenge.

6mm foot figure = 0.5 point
6mm mounted figure, artillery piece or crew served weapon = 1 point
6mm vehicle = 2 points
10mm foot figure = 1 point
10mm mounted figure, artillery piece or crew served weapon = 2 points
10mm vehicle = 3 points
15mm foot figure = 2 points
15mm mounted figure, artillery piece or large crew served weapon = 4 poin
ts
15mm vehicle = 8 points

20mm foot figure = 4 points
20mm mounted figure, artillery piece or crew served weapon = 8 points
20mm vehicle = 15 points

28mm foot figure = 5 points

28mm mounted figure, artillery piece or crew served weapon = 10 points
28mm vehicle = 20 points
40mm foot figure = 7 points
40mm mounted figure, artillery piece or crew served weapon = 15 points
40mm vehicle = 25 points
54mm foot figure = 10 points
54mm mounted figures, artillery piece or crew served weapon = 20 points
54mm vehicle, limber, etc. = 30 points
Other scales, miscellaneous models/figures will be scored on a submission-by-submission basis.

Terrain Submissions

We'll retain our imperfect-but-it-works  6" cube format. Briefly, if your terrain piece (or collected terrain pieces) fills a 6" cube, you get 20 points. If your terrain would 'fill' multiple 6" cubes, then multiply 20 points for each cube of volume.

Terrain filling the 6" cube on the left would be worth 20 points. The composite group on the right, made up of eight cubes, would be worth 160 points.

Example 1: I've painted three 28mm barrels and six trees. They would roughly fill a single 6" cube. I would get 20 points for this.

Example 2: I've constructed and painted a large 28mm manor that is approximately 12" wide, 14" long and 10" high. All in all, this would roughly take up 8 cubes worth of volume. This would give me 160 points.

Submissions of terrain should be sent in with a picture illustrating the scale of their work (a ruler laid alongside should do the trick). This will give your hard-working Minion a basis for scoring. Extra points for extra detail, scratch-built insanity, etc. will be left to the Minions to adjudicate as they see fit.

Changes to the Challenge

Okay, Here are the list of changes to the Challenge program:

1) The participant cap is set at 90(ish).
Covid has put a damper on all of us in getting together with friends, so I'm increasing the participant cap this year to allow more people in on the fun.
For all those wishing to participate please send me an email, providing:
1) your full name,
2) your country of residence
3) your blog address (if you have one), and
3) your points target for the three months of the event.
My email address is:
curtcampbell at mac dot com
I will post a comment below when the roster has been filled and will follow-up with an email in a couple weeks detailing the specifics of the event.

2) Back to Scheduled Submission Dates
We're going to return to our traditional scheduled submission dates, with participants being assigned a day of the week when their draft submissions will be scored and posted to the blog by our friendly band of Minions.

3) The Theme this year is...
With Sidney Roundwood's help we've departed the terra firma of Challenge Island, and The Chambers of Challenge, to give you 'The Challenge XII Sector'!

Welcome to 'The Challenge XII Sector'!

Those doughty Challengers who wish to to test their mettle can explore 'The Challenge XII Sector' by tackling the mind-bending assortment of hobby tasks to be found in that dread star system. Remember, participants do not need to embark on this journey of madness to enjoy the Challenge, it is a voluntary diversion for those wishing to try some theme-based challenges.

The constellation of planets will feature a varied assortment of locations which participants can explore by completing a themed hobby task. Once they finish their task at a location they get bonus points and will be allowed to travel onto the next location. Each 'orbit' requires that four planets be explored before continuing to the next orbit. Ultimately participants will make their way to the planet 'Challenge XII' to face their final task!!

In the next week or so I'll followup with another post laying out the specifics of 'The Challenge XII Sector', its final layout, its rewards and a more detailed map. (Yes, I am awaiting the return of that Rogue Trader, Sidney Roundwood, who is still acting as our vanguard, charting the system for our travels and travails.

The Minions

Keeping to form, I will serve as the Dungeon-Master-of-Ceremonies / Tormentor-in-Chief / Dread-Dork-Lord, etc. etc., but I will also have a happy group of 'Minions' to keep this adventure moving along. Here are the wonderful folks who have 'volunteered' to assist me for this year's Challenge:
  • Monday: PeterD
  • Tuesday: TamsinP
  • Wednesday: GregB
  • Thursday: Barks
  • Friday: DaveD
  • Saturday: Millsy
  • Sunday: Curt

Personal Targets and Duels

Upon signup, I ask that each Challenger provide me with their name, nationality, blog and declare his/her points target which they hope to achieve by the March 20th deadline.

Many participants have found the personal points targets to be a great incentive in maintaining their pace over the three months of the Challenge. I encourage participants to pick a target that is just beyond your comfort zone, but still achievable. As a rough benchmark, 300 points is considered a manageable amount for someone who is new to the the event and/or has a busy work/life schedule. Also remember that a significant amount of points can be secured by adventuring in 'The Chambers of Challenge' (more on this in a later post).

Relating to the points targets, many folks have a lot of fun issuing 'duels' to other participants in order to race to meet a declared target, paint the most figures for a specific period, etc. I leave this to the participants to dream-up, organize and keep track of.

The Cost of Entry

In past years I've asked that Challengers offer a donation to charity of their choice. This year I would like to see our generosity felt on one specific organization. Accordingly, the cost of entry to the Challenge is a donation (in the amount of your choice) to the Living Sky Wildlife Rehabilitation, a charity based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan which provides a safe place for injured and orphaned wild animals to grow and mend until they can return to their natural habitat, while also encouraging public tolerance and understanding of wildlife.

If you can, please make note in your donation that you are a participant of the Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge. Thank you!!

Noel Williams

Yesterday I received the very sad news that our friend Noel Williams had passed away this August.

Fellow participants of the Challenge know Noel well from his wonderfully creative, loquacious and hilarious submissions to our little event (he was a poet after all).  I always knew, that when a Noel entry was posted, that I'd be entertained by his great wit, impressed by his furious industry and invigorated by his ebullient enthusiasm.

He will be greatly missed.

Wishing you smooth sailing and open skies, Noel.

From TeemuL: Challenge XI Collection

Time just flies... But anyway, earlier this week I caught up with the Challenge posts, I have now managed to read all of them (expect some of the group photo posts). I was a  bit behind the whole Challenge and thus didn't comment on many of them purely because I was so late (I'm not a wizard, you know). The first two and half weeks of the Challenge I was on vacation, which meant I had very limited time for hobbies. Before the Challenge we also bought an old house which we started to renovate late last year and finally week after the Challenge we moved in. It is far from ready, of course. Old houses, like so many other things in life, are never finished...

Here's all what I managed to paint during the Challenge (missing S.N. Owl-Ord for obvious reasons and Sylvaneth trees because they in a different cabinet behind all the other Sylvaneth). But other minis I have dug out from the moving boxes and here they are. Not that much in the end, but managing to complete the Chambers of Challenge I gathered quite a lot of points in the end.

Here is photo of the halberdiers which Snowlord asked from me, this time they have their shields decaled and they have two friends. The paint job doesn't exactly match, but the colors do (except the the shield motif). Now, if anyone knows where to get command figures for this unit, please let me know.

My Lotr (or MESBG) eagle got a lot of notice, here's two photos with the latest one with frieds. There's now three plastic ones and metal Gwaihir, all painted very quickly with Citadel Contrast paints.

No photo of me this time, unfortunately, but since I'm still participating in the Vaccine Challenge, I might post something there!

From PeterD Challenge Wrap Up

I am of course late out of the gate on this one.  But here are my wrap up photos.

Naval Stuff

All the ships were from WW2.  I had planned to add some Anglo Dutch Wars ships which only got part painted and some from the War of the Pacific which only got primer.  I gave Adam a reasonable chase in the early going of there Naval Duel but got left in everyone's wake at the end.  For some reason I decided that I needed every destroyer that fought in the Med in 1941-2, but I had fun researching the various classes, modifications and camouflage patterns applied.

Land based stuff

A true variety pack -  a new 10mm NYW project, Dorky Orky tanks, Women of WW2 and Beowulf!

Dooffus in charge with my Meadhall background from our Beowulf DnD sessions

January through March is a busy time for me.  I basically end up working 60% of each of two jobs so the challenge is a sanity break for me.  It's great to see everyone work and looking forward to next year.
