From MartinC All Kinds of Stuff (202 pts)

Another busy week, being retired is hectic and this week is busier. I say busy but it is 2 days of work, 4 days of family and gaming and 1 day of rest.

Straight on to it

My next bloodbowl team. This is an amazon team, it's resin 3D printed and done as a Cheyenne team. I think they are very cool. But, they are very fragile and already have  lots of broken feathers. I have a plan to repair them but until then they will be called the Wanitka Pasun, Sioux for Broken Feather

Next up another Bavarian battalion, the 7th. These didn't fight in 1812 but who can resist pink facings. As this is a firing line it has fewer figures than a marching unit, simply due to firing figures taking up more space

Finally a random dynamite gun for my colonial Americans. They are by Tiger Miniatures, not my favourite manufacturer but they do make figures no body else does.

Scores on the doors

Amazons 16x5 = 80

Bavarians 15x5 =75

                    1 x 10 =10

Dynamite gun 4x5 =20 plus another 5 for the gun as it's very simple =25

Total = 190pts

You know I don't know what I'd do with my Tuesdays if I didn't have Martin's completely random posts to minion.  Today he got me down a dynamite gun rabbit hole trying to find out more about that weapon.  I was aware of the completely useless dynamite cruiser USS Vesuvius used during the Spanish American War, but wasn't aware that the US Army also used these oddities.  As you say not a wonderful casting but it painted up well.

Love the Cheyenne team, but if they''ve already got broken bits I don't fancy their odds on the pitch.  Also nice to see more Bavarians, I agree with the pink facings comment especially with cornflower blue.  I'm giving you the full 10 points for the gun and 2 for the flag.

  1. Nice random assortment of themes. Thanks for introducing me to the dynamite gun as well.

  2. Fabulous work all around, Martin, but my faves are the Bavarians. Pink and blue is a great combination for a uniform.
