This post is an addition to my World War II "Chain of Command" U.S platoon, its a 28mm scale Sherman M4 from Rubicon. The kit is nicely detailed and took paint well, not so much my poly-cement, but with the correct level of swearing and cursing she finally went together. I may well pick up another kit at Vapnartak this weekend, nice easy challenge points as they are.
Points wise I think it's a nice round 20.
Fom DaveD. Well you cant' beat a bit of Detroits finest.
Swearing and cursing are as essential to any hobby undertaking as paint and primer.
ReplyDeleteGreat work Alex - all the elements came together well, this is a very nice looking piece of kit. Well done.
Yes, I agree, swearing is absolutely integral to the hobby.
DeleteGreat work Alex! Let's see another. :)
Nice tank Alex :)
ReplyDeleteGreat work.
ReplyDeleteHi Alex, just being pedantic but it's an M4 - not an M4A1. The A1 has a rounded hull rather than the square edges of the plain old M4...

all sorted, cheers
DeleteCheers Alex - My grandfather drove a plain M4, so I can recognise them!
DeleteVery fine work! I still need to get me one of those for my American force. As regards to your glue issue I'd recommend using a cement especially for ABS plastics.
ReplyDeleteThat may be it, the plastic had a slightly different feel from the Warlord and Perry's stuff that I've done. Cheers
DeleteNice work, and yes swearing is essential.
ReplyDeleteLovely Sherman! I can't comment on M4 or otherwise, but it looks great!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Lovely clean model and paint job.
ReplyDeleteExcellent Sherman!
ReplyDeleteVery well executed, that olive drab is spot on!
ReplyDeleteNice looking Sherman.
