Beautiful clean work. Any tips on your panel lining?
ReplyDeleteI'm using a homemade oil wash to do pin washes on the panel lines.
DeleteThe oil wash is made with oil paints. A smear/dab is put onto a piece of cardboard and left out to air dry for several days to remove the linseed oil. Then that is put into mineral spirits to correct looking ratio. The pin wash is applied with a fine tip synthetic brush. Then any excess is wiped away with swab/q-tip.
Nice clean work and the markings are aces. Do love the jets from this era.
ReplyDeleteVery nice and neat painting, Steve!
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI always wondered why Battlefront didn't release a "burning while struck on the ground" version of these aircraft...
ReplyDeleteVery nice painting!
Hi Steve:
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and iconic fast movers, I really admire how you resisted the temptation to do them in basic silver, the more whitish tone really sets off the fine pin brush work and the canopies are so well done.
Cheers, MikeP
