Last week, Phil (the Friday minion) was bewailing the lack of posts that he had to "minion", so I've decided to split my entries up this week. Having done so, I now fully expect that he will have a deluge of posts from his charges!
Having made films in the SciFi, Black & White and Under Construction studios, I have moved onto the High Adventure studio for this entry.
Here we have the Sykes-Whorley siblings, Ralph (pronounced like "wraith") and Rosalind (she prefers "Rosie").
Ralph served with the Royal Flying Corps in Mesopotamia in the Great War and got a taste for adventure away from the societal constraints of Europe.
Rosie, meanwhile, had been having her own adventures while traveling between the family's holdings in India, Burma, Malaya and Hong Kong.
After the Great War, they teamed up for a series of adventures, some of which were widely reported in the press at the time (sometimes favourably, often deploring their activities).
With this pair, that gives me my fourth studio completed in the Green Zone and gets me a Blue Zone pass - onto the Westerns studio next. Yeehaw!
Points Claim
2 x 28mm foot @ 5 = 10 points
1 x studio @ 20 = 20 points
Total = 30 points
Friday Minion: I love these Tamsin! The classic Artizan Designs 'Thrilling Tales' sculpts,. I like Rosie's purple and matching cravat from Ralph, and of course the backstory you weaved for them. I'm excited to hear what they get up to in the papers next!
30 points for your two aviators!
Fine brushwork as usual Tamsin!

DeleteLove these models Tamsin, great job!
ReplyDeleteCheers! :)
DeleteExcellent work, Tamsin! Love the matching clothes. Middle aged couples riding their bikes (or walking) together wearing exactly the same rainjackets is a bit of a thing in the Netherlands, they made me think of that! Although whatever these two are up to will probably be no laughing matter!
ReplyDeleteYou're so right! An ANWB couple but than with the A standing for Aviation! :-P
DeleteThanks! There are middle aged couples like that in the UK too. :)
DeleteWonderful work Tamsin. Truly a power couple. Rosie cuts a very fine figure in those purple trousers.
ReplyDeleteCheers! I seem to remember using quite a bit of purple on character figures last year as well! :)
DeleteGreat work here Tamsin
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
DeleteSuperb . I need these figures

ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
DeleteSuperb work on those
ReplyDeleteCheers! :)
DeleteLovely brushwork on them ,Tamsin. I like the blues and purples, but those leather jackets are distressed just the right amount!
ReplyDeleteThanks! They look worn but not worn out, which is what I was aiming for. :)
DeleteYou can't beat purple pants. Great minis nicely painted.
ReplyDeleteGood work, love the jackets!
