MONDAY'S MUSÉE DES FOSSILES

Community Outreach Initiative

A PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT FROM LE MUSÉE DES FOSSILES

I was tasked by our granting agency, most particularly by Mister Art T. Tchauke, granting liaison officer from the Provincial Government, to make a public announcement about our next community outreach initiative. Mister Tchauke who, it should be noted, “almost” obtained his master’s thesis at the University of West-Where-Ever, was inspired by his studies to vulgarize for the public some basic concept of ancient roman architecture, more specifically the edicule known as “vespasienne”. It was pleasant hearing Mister Tchauke sharing with us his undocumented passion both for the roman emperor Vespasian and for the venues of public convenience. Despite our team (composed of well established scholars) mentioning to Mr. Tchauke that there is no (and has never been) such construct in our part of the world, the liaison officer, whose uncle is the finance officer of the governing party, made the renewal of our next yearly grant conditional to “organizing a community outreach within the location most closely related to vespasienne”.

For the above mentioned reasons, I have the great "honor" to re-direct our valued visitors to the shopping mall across the street for the opportunity to view our latest special exhibits.
