Sundays With Sarah

Sundays With Sarah

Welcome Everyone to Sundays with Sarah!

It has become tradition for the Minion to personalize their weekly posts, so this space will feature some of my favourite things. We are fortunate to live in a very quiet neighbourhood with a lovely park all around. One of my favourite tasks is going out  walking with the doggo:

Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada

-25C, with windchill -38C, Extreme Weather Alert

I'm currently reading The Housekeepers by Alex Hay. An inventive and thrilling heist novel set in Edwardian London.

The Snowlord is happily ensconced in his painting corner, our most excellent hound, Huckleberry is satisfied after a cold and snowy walk and I have settled in spend some time reviewing the  Team Sundays painting efforts. What a treat this will be!

There is much goodness ahead ... Arabs to Wizards, something for everyone to enjoy.

- Sarah

  1. I shudder at the thought of -25, let alone -38! Over here, it's still more of that drat rain... I'll stay in as much as possible, do some painting and enjoy the Sunday goodness! Have a good one, Sarah!

  3. Sarah, thanks for taking care of the Sunday posts. -38C!! I cannot even imagine how that would feel... Imagine: in Madrid we are today 10C (positive) and I'm freezing... Today Jan 5th is the magical night in Spain, the eve to Epiphany on Jan 6th, when the Three Wise Men will visit all houses, and will leave toys and gifts to those children (or not so children) behaving properly and black coal to those misbehaving. Currently having a coffee and the traditional Epiphany cake called "Roscón de Reyes" or "Galette de Rois" for the francophone

  4. Yes, it's -38 but remember: It's a dry cold. Very manageable.

    1. I can relate to that, dry cold is not that bad as wet cold. Your wisdoms sounds familiar, too. :)

  5. Well now you've set the Minion opening post rather high Sarah! More doggo pics please! All I know is that -40 is where the Celsius and Fahrenheit scales converge, and where I have no place being anywhere near! :-)

  6. Looks like a wonderfully peaceful but cold, walk. My lab (now passed) loved long walks in the snow. Sensible clothes and footwear are a must!

  8. That is just too cold. It's a toasty 31 today with a UV of 13 and over 14h of daylight.
