Hopefully Sarah the Sorceress will be willing transport me from Adventurers’ Landing to the Oubliette in exchange for a tot of brandy from the tonnelet of this cantinière.
The model is from the Brigade Games Vivandiers set and will join my French forces for the Hundred Days campaign, much to the delight of the Grognards.
A single 28mm figure with the Sarah the Sorceress bonus will add 25 points to my target.
28mm Napoleonics Duel Totalizer: 26 mounted, 116 foot, 3 guns, 1 boat.
While the Lady Sarah doesn't strike me as a Brandy kind of Lady (I might be wrong though) I bet she'd be more than happy to wizard you away wherever you want for that wonderful figure alone. Anyway, the red and blue colour combination is just superb and together with her immaculate white apron that makes for a rather dashing walking tricolore. Vive la France! Vive l'Empereur!
ReplyDeleteThank you Nick, indeed Vive la France! Vive l'Empereur!
DeleteI am more of a red wine or a single malt aficionado, but I wouldn’t turn down a good Brandy ....🍷
DeleteVery nice cantiniere, she can serve me a snoot full of brandy anytime

DeleteLovely figure! A lovely vintage French brandy is just the ticket to wizard you away to your next Chamber of the Challenge 🧙♀️

DeleteSo these followers genuinely carried brandy around to dish out? Stuff like this just adds realism to our little toy soldiers, fascinating to see.
ReplyDeleteYes they did.

DeleteGood stuff. How long would that cask last with a thirsty regiment?
