The Pitch
Imagine the wagon train have circled the wagons and the massed hordes of the Sioux Nation are swarming all over the settlers. As then reach their last round of ammo a bugle sounds in the distance and the 7th cavalry charges down the hill and routs the Sioux.
Now imagine that the battle takes place in 1683 and settlers are the Holy Roman Emperor and the citizens of Vienna. The massed Sioux hordes are massed Ottoman hordes. As the city is about the fall over the hill streams the Polish army of Jan III Sobieski, lead by the Polish Winged Hussars. They smash through the Ottoman army and end all Ottoman invasions, for ever. If you want we can stick in some love interest.
And so to the 10mm Polish Army
Hmmm, another 10mm project. Lovely stuff, Martin!

ReplyDeletecheers, they are cool
DeleteNot sure I can be happy for this post being married to a descendant of the Ottomans here.. not sure I will survive that attack if I did 😅 But lovely work all around mate. And again always amazed at painting such small scale so well! Might have to give it a go again one day!
ReplyDeletehighly recommend 10mm, it's fun and cheap and you can play massive battles. Invaders should always be repelled. In defence of Ottomans and have a massive WW1 Turkish army that wins alot
DeleteGreat stuff Martin, I look forward to the Ottomans!
