From MartinC Dunsterforce and Curtgeld (195pts)

Hope you all had a good, if slightly weird, Christmas. I've been cracking on with the Dunsterforce and have now finished all the infantry, for now.

Infantry section of 9 (see previous for the 10th). Mix of Copplestone and converted Warlord plastic 8th Army figs (freebies in Wargames Illustrated)

And another one

And this gives me 5 sections

2 Vickers machine guns - Copplestone only come with 5 figs and I converted one into a Lewis gunner so the 2 additional figs are plastic 8th army and a Partizan freebie (previously painted)

Curtgeld is always tricky, a delve into the lead pile and I found this guy

Private Dumas is a 1930s French Foreign Legionaire from Artizan Thrilling Tales

Tried to give him an Arab scarf but he looks a bit like Rupert the Bear.

Scores on the Doors

25 infantry = 125
2 prone figs = 5 pts
2 machine guns = 20
2 gun crews = 20 (3 + 2 prone)
1 Curtgeld = 25
=195pts

    1. Almost finished, had some stuff already. Don't want to make it too big but you know how it always ends. I'll have loads of the buggers

  5. These look super. I like the fact that you are doing conversions and making use of other figures for this project. "Rupert joins the Foreign Legion" - a Thrilling Tale indeed.

  6. Nice work on these! Especially the Curtgeld (though am lacking understanding on what that is :D ).

  8. Good stuff Martin. I too have Monsieur Dumass in a Desert WWII force of legionnaires. His cravat is not as fancy as yours. :) I have a mix of Artizan and Pulp figures in the force.

  14. They look great, I love this rather unusual theme. The legionaire looks rather dashing with his scarf. Still reminds me of Arafat, so despite your doubts you must have been doing something right!
