Happy New Year to everyone!! Let's leave 2020 behind and keep only the knowledge we gain through all this adventure. This next year must be the most creative and productive for all of us!
An assortment of Airfix and Matchbox 1:32 figures of "Afrika Korps" issue. Classic sets from the 70s and 80s in my favourite scale of 54mm. No more comments needed for these famous figures and poses!
No chamber of challenge for this post. Just some points..( 10 X 7 =70pts).
Cheer up everybody! This is 2021!!
Keep Up The Brushes!!
Loving this post George. I have a box of these in my basement that I may have to dig out.
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter! Booth sets are great and have great poses! Matchbox are kind bigger and blocky but they have great faces to paint :)
DeleteI well remember these chaps from some years back. Some great memories, rekindled here, George! Great stuff!
ReplyDeleteAhh, these bring back such good memories. Wonderful models and rewarded with a terrific paintjob. Well done George!
ReplyDeleteSo that is my childhood, thank you
ReplyDeleteWell ,they brought a smile to my face! Lovely!

Well done on those classics! The sculpts seem to have aged rather well.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your comments! We are all hiding an Airfix-Matchbox fan from our childhood! All these guys deserved a nice painting as a reward for hours of fantasy they gave us!!
ReplyDeleteMarvelous work on these old figures.
ReplyDeleteThank you sir!

Thank you Matt!
DeleteWow, these take me back to where it all started for me. I was painting these before I even knew you could play games with figures that didn't involve mowing them down with a spring powered matchstick shooting cannon.
ReplyDeleteWhen we dig somewhere in my mother's village house , we still found figures buried for long long time!! Too much playing for years with these Airfix legendary figures!!
DeleteThanks for the comment!
Wow, they bring back some memories of my yoof! Great paint jobs
ReplyDeleteRegards KenR
Thank you Ken!
DeleteOh, classic! I think I left mine sand plastic and painted the details black! It was the beginning of a slippery slope.
ReplyDeleteTher is always some Airfix in the beginning..lol
DeleteThank you Barks!
Well done on a classic theme.
ReplyDeleteI remember having some of Airfix's soft plastic, 1/32 8th Army figures.
That's another classic set.. Got lots of them and some will be painted soon :)

Fantastic! The Airfic 54mm box were my first toy soldiers ever, still have them somewhere. A great nostalgic entry!!
