From RayR - Cybertron - Clone Wars, General Grievous 54mm (30 Points)

Second time lucky?

For my entry in the Cyberton Bonus round, I have painted up the part Kaleesh part Cyborg General  Grievous, from Star Wars fame.

Grievous, born as Qymaen jai Sheelal, was a Kaleesh male Warlord who served within the military forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems as a commanding officer during the Clone Wars in the final years of the Galactic Republic.

The man who became known as Grievous, had sustained severe injuries in a coordinated incident that required extensive reparations to his destroyed body, which resulted in his willing submission to cybernetic enhancements and reconstructions, as well as secret alterations to his brain, that rendered him more mechanical than organic as he received greater abilities as a result.

The General was part of a job lot of Hasbro figures I bought last year, he probably should be a little lighter in colour, but he's had a hard day today and is in need of an oil rub down, hence he looks a little grubby...

1 x 54mm figure @ 10 pts
20 pts for Cybertron Bonus round

So all in all 30 points?

Nice work Ray - when I saw the title, I was expecting to encounter the "General Grievous" from the "Star Wars: Legion" game. This 54mm version is an interesting rendition. Other than being an "obvious bad guy" from the Star Wars prequel, I really did not know much about this fellow, so nice of you to include a little more about his background. I imagined he came as a special order "very bad guy" droid - didn't know he had been a human before...

And yes, I'll tolerate him for Cyberton.

That's 30 points for you!

  1. Blacksmith has done a good work transforming Grievous to this mechanic-organic killing machine. I like the oily(?) look on him.

  6. There you go! Much better fit Ray and great work on this figure. He’d be great as one of those at your table chefs in a Japanese’s restaurant

  7. With all those lightsabres, how doesn't he chop a limb off? He's very coordinated, obviously, and well painted.

  9. Very well done, Ray. So in effect that Grievous fella is the Star Wars rendition of a Space Marine Dreadnought?

    1. I don't know what A Space Marine Dreadnought is, but I'll bow to your superior knowledge Nick.
